- 1 cup yoghurt.
- 1 cup sugar or less.
- 1 Orange(zest).
- 2 cup fine semolina.
- 1 cup shredded coconut.
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil.
- 3 eggs.
- 2 tspn baking powder.
- 1/4 cup milk.
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder.
- Almonds for garnishing.
- For the syrup.
- 1 cups sugar.
- 1 cups water.
- 2 tbspn lemon juice.

Step by step how to cook Basbousa#4weeks challenge:
- Start by making the syrup.in a pot put the 1 cup of water and one cup of sugar.stir and add lemon juice.let it simmer for about 15 minutes then leave it to cool.also preheat the oven to 190°.
- Put the almonds in hot water so it can peel easily.peel and put them aside.
- Mix yogurt and semolina and put aside.
- In a mixer whisk the eggs,add sugar mix,add oil mix,add shredded coconut and mix and milk,baking powder and cardamom and mix well.
- And the semolina yogurt mixture and mix well.
- Transfer the mix into a greased tray and put the peeled almond and bake it 160° for 40minutes.when done pour the syrup onto it immediately and cut as shown below.
