Steamed Cake - It turned out very good but i think i could have cooked it a little longer.. Today I am sharing this Steamed Cake! A quick and easy dinner that is ready in under 45 minutes!

Ingredients for Steamed Cake:

  1. 500 gms Hung curd.
  2. 500 ml Condensed milk.
  3. 50 gms Roasted broken cashew nuts.
  4. 60 ml Fresh orange juice.
  5. 1 cup Fresh orange pulp.
  6. 1 tbsp Orange zest.
  7. 1 tsp vanilla essence.
  8. as required Fresh raspberrie, black grapes, thyme & orange zest for garnishing.

Step by step how to cook Steamed Cake:

  1. Mix hung curd & condensed milk together & beat well.You can use a mixie..
  2. Then pour the mixture into a mixing bowl..
  3. Add orange juice, orange pulp, orange zest, roasted broken cashew nuts & vanilla essence to it.
  4. Give it a good mix..
  5. Grease a ring shaped mould with either white butter or clarified butter..
  6. Pour the mixture into the mould & tap a little in order to get rid of air bubbles if any..
  7. Cover the mould with an aluminum foil..
  8. Steam in a steamer for about 1 hour or 1 hour 20 minutes..
  9. Allow it to cool down & then keep in the fridge for minimum 2 hours before serving..
  10. I have decorated it with fresh raspberries,black grapes,thyme & orange zest..
