Ingredients for Sausage and Turkey Tri-Coloured Pasta:
- 1 packages Tri-Coloured Artisan Pasta.
- 1 oz extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil or avocado oil.
- 2 shallots.
- 2 garlic cloves.
- 1 lb ground turkey.
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning.
- 4 smoked Italian sausages.
- 3 cup passata.
- 1 1/2 cup spinach.
- 1 bunch basil.
- 1 parmesan cheese.
- 1 crushed chilies (ootional).
- 1 sea salt.
- 1 fresh cracked pepper.
Step by step how to cook Sausage and Turkey Tri-Coloured Pasta:
- Heat oil in pan and add shallots - sweat for 2 minutes. Add minced garlic sweat for additional 2 minutes on medium-high heat.
- Brown the ground turkey and add Italian seasoning to meat for flavouring (approximately 7 minutes).
- Cook pasta in a pot of salted water with olive oil per package directions.
- Add sausages to ground turkey and heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- While meat mixture is heating through, chifinade spinach and basil before adding to sauce.
- Add passata to meat to build sauce and simmer for 10 - 12 minutes..
- Drain cooked pasta and run under cold water to stop cooking process.
- Add pasta to sauce, toss and add salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese and chilies to taste.
- Serve and enjoy.
